The Friends of River Hook will be hosting two creative events on Saturday and Sunday of Upstate Art Weekend. The events will be held at the River Hook Preserve, 611 N. Midland Avenue, Upper Nyack, NY.

Rendering River Hook - Sketch & Scribe Mob, Saturday, June 27 at 10-12 (registration beginning at 9:00)

Rendering River Hook - Reception - Sunday, June 28, 3-5

"Rendering River Hook" will be a collective landscape appreciation session, rendering the essence of River Hook through words or imagery, guided by Bill Batson. Bring your chair, art supplies and/or writing supplies and set up at an assigned spot along the River Hook Preserve path. Your resulting work will be displayed during the reception the following day. Registration and a small fee are required: 

• $15 per person
• $10 for community partners
• Scholarships available upon request at: friendsofriverhook@gmail.com

Register here. Modify the "Custom Amount" field to reflect the appropriate fee. Observers are welcome and do not need to register. You don't have to participate as an artist to enjoy the event.

Proceeds from this event will support the cost of this event and the beautification of River Hook.
